Current Happenings:

We're finishing up a new record (yes, finally). Be on the lookout. Shows can happen as well.

Sit & Spin Records released a split 7" with our buds Can't Kids. Go grab one here:

Reid has a new project called Sun Studies, which was announced in conjunction with this year’s Hopscotch Music Festival in Raleigh. Here are some early versions of the tunes:

Via Hopscotch bios: "As the longtime leader of Triangle indie rock favorites Schooner, singer Reid Johnson developed a distinctive melodic style, with his voice dipping low and then shooting high with a hint of cracking falsetto. There was always a bit of R&B romance to his songs, of the singer dancing with his hooks. That trademark happily lingers in Sun Studies, Johnson’s new solo project where his singsong melodies radiate Roy Orbison warmth through layers of tumult and noise."

We have a song on the comp "Tidings From Our Light Purple Gam" (featuring Toro y Moi, Of Montreal, etc.) at Fork & Spoon Records benefiting our good friend Aaron Graves of the lovely Those Lavender Whales.

We're running low on Neighborhood Veins vinyl, FYI. Grab one here:
